The New Jersey Department of Education (DOE) Office of Special Education (OSE) is responsible for implementing state and federal laws and regulations governing special education to ensure that students with disabilities in New Jersey receive full educational opportunities, improved outcomes and ensure consistency.

Paul Aronsohn is currently serving as New Jersey’s statewide Ombudsman for Individuals with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities and Their Families – a position to which he was appointed by Governor Phil Murphy in April 2018. As such, he serves as the administration’s lead advocate and ally for New Jersey residents in need of critical services and supports ranging from early childhood through adulthood.

POAC Autism Services, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, is making a difference today for every individual with autism in our state. Each year we provide hundreds of events for the autism community including: training for parents and educators; recreational and support services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families; and training for police and first responders which is saving the lives of children/adults with autism throughout the state.

PerformCare New Jersey is the Contracted System Administrator for the Children’s System of Care (CSOC). PerformCare (PC) manages the State of New Jersey’s service delivery system, and was established to provide a single point of entry for youth to obtain existing developmental disability, behavioral health and substance abuse services and supports.
